Прибрежная полоса. Русскому предлогу при соответствует английский at.
Because in this case, SIDE refers to the shore.
🇺🇸 Uly 🐝, but shore is also used with «on»..
Tatiana, но в лесу и горах там есть физические границы: деревья, горы.
Абстрагируясь от данного вопроса, хотелось бы сказать следующее. Не думаю, что есть язык, при изучении которого абсолютно всё поддавалось бы логике изучающего этот язык. Кое-что надо просто запоминать.
Ваш подход может к нервному срыву привести. Расслабьтесь и принимайте вещи такими, какие они есть.
Стараюсь все англ. правила подогнать под одну логику

Also, we often use “on“ when we say where something is, and “at“ when we say were some thing happened.  So you can spend two weeks at the seaside, in a hotel on the seaside.
