Publication started in 1956.
The journal Metallurg was re-registered in 1997 by its new registered founders: FSUE “I.P.Bardin TsNIIChermet”, the Central Council of the Miners and Metallurgical Workers’ Union of Russia, Association of Industrialists of Mining and Metals Production Sector of Russia (AMROS).
Metallurg the leading Russian journal in metallurgy. Basic topics covered include: state of the art and development of eterprises in ferrous and nonferrous metallurgy and mining; metallurgy of ferrous, nonferrous, rare and precious metals; metallurgical equipment; automation and control; protection of labor; protection of the environment; resources and energy saving; quality and certification; history of metallurgy.
